The comparison between PVC edge band and Acrylic(ABS) edge band:
Acrylic edge band material is better than pvc edge band.
1. In terms of color, the stability of PVC board is poor, and it is easy to decompose during processing. Generally, the background color of acrylic board of the same color will be yellowish.
2. In terms of density, the density of PVC board is 1.35-1.4G/CM3, and the density of acrylic board is 1.1G/CM3. If the thickness and size of the board are the same, the heavier one is PVC.
3. Listen to the sound, use two boards with similar areas, lightly drop them on the floor or tap them with your hands, the one with the clearest sound is acrylic. Dull is PVC.
4. It is burning and smelling. When acrylic burns, the flame is yellow, has the smell of alcohol and is smokeless. When the PVC board is burned, the flame is green, has the smell of hydrochloric acid, and emits white smoke.
