On December 13-15, Dubai local time, another major event in the global rubber and plastics industry, the Arab International Rubber and Plastics Exhibition (ARABPLAST 2023), was held in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center (DIECE). Sponsored by AFIS, the exhibition is held every two years and is currently the largest and most professional plastics and rubber industry exhibition in the Middle East.

The Gulf States Petrochemical and Chemical Association (GPCA) predicts that annual plastic consumption in the Gulf countries will increase by 22% annually until 2024, and the Gulf States’ plastic production capacity will reach more than 100 million tons by 2023. In 2024, the Gulf countries will increase investment in the petrochemical industry, and drive the development of the downstream market while realizing the extension of the petrochemical industry chain, and the plastics industry will be the biggest beneficiary.
